The Zoo's new discovery room experience invites young children and their caregivers to create, explore, investigate, and imagine while discovering the animal world together. The experience is focused on families with children ages birth to nine, though all ages are welcome. We accommodate children with special needs.
Hours:
ZOOmagination Station will be closed Saturday-Monday, January 17-19, 2009 for repairs to the heating system.
ZOOmagination Station is open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with 45 minute sessions beginning at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., Noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
ZOOmagination Station will be closed on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

City Museum
Although “museum” is in the name, the City Museum might be more accurately described as an indoor 3 story playground. A little wild for those at the younger end of toddler hood, the city museum is a wonderful place to run around and explore. Built from architectural and mechanical artifacts from around the city, the museum is comprised of many different hands on activities including a two-story slide, 2 ball pits, one for younger children and one for older, and a model train that young kids can ride.
